DEA agents train law enforcement on how to better investigate overdoses

LEBANON, Mo. (KY3) – Law enforcement officers, prosecutors and coroners from across the region participated in training with agents from the Lebanon Drug Enforcement Agency.

The St. Louis Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration hosted the event. It helped members of the justice system better investigate drug overdose cases.

Agents say this isn’t the same old war on drugs. This isn’t even the same opioid epidemic. The general population is becoming more tolerant of fentanyl, and the drug market is rising to the challenge by coming up with drugs that are more potent than fentanyl.
