After casting his vote in Florida, former President Donald Trump expressed optimism about his victory in the 2024 US elections, telling reporters: “I’m very confident.”

As he left the polling station in Palm Beach, near his hometown, after voting, Trump, wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat, stood with his wife Melania.

After the vote, Trump told reporters he was honored to hear the lines were long.

‘I have a lot of confidence in it. You know, we went into today with a really big lead and it looks like the Republicans showed up in a big way. So we’ll see how it turns out. But it looks like they actually showed up. power,” Trump told reporters.

He said he would watch the election results from Mar-a-Lago, his resort and national historic landmark in Palm Beach, and claim his “substantial lead.”

Trump claimed he had no obligation to inform his followers that there should be no violence in response to the election results.

“Of course there will be no violence. My supporters are not violent people… And I certainly don’t want violence, but I certainly don’t have to tell… These are great people,” he added.

Trump also assured that he will accept “fair” election results.

“If I lose an election, if it is a fair election, I would be the first to acknowledge that. And I think it was fair,” he said.
