South Ocean Boulevard next to former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club reopened to traffic Thursday afternoon, Palm Beach officials said in an alert.

This is the second time the road next to Mar-a-Lago has reopened since a second assassination attempt last month, and the fourth time the road between Southern Boulevard and South County Road has reopened since the city, the U.S. Secret Service and Mar- a-Lago reached a deal announced on August 19 to remove security checkpoints and barricades near the club if Trump is away for an extended period of time.

Trump is expected to return to Palm Beach before Tuesday, when The Associated Press reports he will vote for himself in the general presidential election.

The police station for Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump is No. 5604 at the Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center in Palm Beach, at 340 Seaview Ave.

The Republican candidate for president has a busy schedule up to and including Election Day.

He has two rallies planned for Halloween: first in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and then in Henderson, Nevada. On Friday, Trump is scheduled for rallies in Warren, Michigan, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where the Republican National Convention was held in July.

On Saturday, Trump will head to two key states as he visits Gastonia and Greensboro, North Carolina, and Salem, Virginia.

Trump’s departure on Thursday means the opening hours for the three drawbridges to the island will return to their usual schedule, which changes when the Republican presidential nominee is home as part of temporary security zones set up by the US Coast Guard.

The removal of Coast Guard security zones will also allow marine traffic to flow unhindered through the Intracoastal past Mar-a-Lago. When Trump is home, law enforcement vessels prevent boaters from taking breaks near the historic estate.

Before an agreement was reached this month to reopen the road when the former president is not at Mar-a-Lago, the Secret Service ordered South Ocean Boulevard next to the club to close 24 hours a day, seven days a week, effective July 20. close days a week. Officials had said the closure would be in effect until at least the Nov. 5 general election.
