Love is blind star Alex Byrd finally revealed what happened during the argument between her and ex-fiance Tim Godbee while they were in Cabo San Lucas.
“What you didn’t see was a verbal disagreement,” Alex, 33, said during the Season 7 reunion that aired on Wednesday, October 30. was admitted to rehab (for filming) a week before I left Love is blind). Not talking to them for three weeks, it just weighed on me at that point, and I just wanted space.
Alex continued, “Going to bed, showering, going to bed, that’s literally all I wanted to do. Unfortunately, I was not given the space I wanted, which resulted in a disagreement. It’s that simple.”
When host Nick Lachey When Tim, 33, asked to intervene, he clarified that he didn’t want it to “come across” that there was “actually some animosity” between him and Alex. He said he “still wished her well.” However, he gave his version of the events that led to their fight happening.
“She beat me to the pool party, and I tried to catch her,” Tim explained. “I could tell she was upset, so in my head I was like, ‘Okay, this is my fiancé. I want to be there for her.’ So I approach her and say, “Hey, are you okay?” What’s going on?’ We’re in this hotel bathroom. So far everything has been good for me.
Tim then turned to Alex, “You’re crying on the floor, so I’m trying to be there for you.”
The web content strategist said he “understood” that Alex was “upset about something with her family,” but that he was also “trying to figure out what was going on.” Tim claimed that was when their conversation took a turn.
“It quickly became controversial, and it got to the point where, yeah, I felt like things were getting out of hand from a border perspective,” Tim continued.
He also explained that Alex did indeed have a hand over his mouth, something she admitted to during their stay in Cabo, saying she called him “something other than the name (he) was given on this earth.”

Alex took the opportunity to explain that she did not “physically assault” Tim in any way, which he also “testified.”
“I’ve literally been put in a position where I’m trying to prevent production from coming in and seeing this fight, like this fight that we’re having,” Alex said. “I don’t want it to seem like we’re in a bad situation, or I don’t want cameras coming in and making him look bad. It’s that simple. I tried to protect him. I just wanted to de-escalate the whole situation so we could just go to sleep and look at it again the next morning.”
The former couple did not see eye to eye the details of their fight and Tim said he was especially upset because Alex called him something other than his name. When asked what she called him, Alex replied, “Well, he disrespected me for over an hour so I called him a little bitch.”
Alex and Tim were just one of many couples who didn’t make it to the altar during the ceremony Love is blind season 7. Tim broke off the engagement with Alex after she took a nap while his parents were in town to meet her. Since then, Tim and Alex have both said they are no longer in contact are not “friendly” to each other.
