LELAND, NC (WECT) – A man has pleaded guilty to charges related to two armed robberies at a Circle K.
According to court documents from the District Attorney’s Office, Wyshaun Nath robbed Circle K at 7806 Ocean Highway East in January and March. Both times, he allegedly hid his identity with clothing, threatened the same store clerk with a gun, demanded money and took cash and cigarettes.
Leland detectives were able to link him to the robberies through his phone and location information, as well as through a cash app transaction after the second robbery.
Wyshaun Nath was sentenced to approximately 10-13 years for two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and habitual criminal status.
Nath was previously convicted of two felonies in North Carolina and one misdemeanor in New Jersey
Cherice Coker, who worked at the gas station at the time and was close to Nath, made statements to police implicating Nash. She was subsequently charged with conspiracy and aiding and abetting, while further charges were pending.
