Tyra Banks returned to the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Tuesday (October 15), nearly 20 years after retiring from modeling.
The 50-year-old beauty returned to the lingerie extravaganza – which returned after a six-year hiatus – ending the event at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York in a black corset with crystal embellishments, paired with a silver cape, leggings and strappy heels.
Tyra’s appearance was her first runway walk since 2005 and was her ninth Victoria’s Secret appearance.
Adriana Lima made a triumphant return, appearing in every Victoria’s Secret show from 1999 to 2018 except 2009, when she was on maternity leave, wearing a black lingerie set with plaid pants and a fitted long-sleeved cutout top with iridescent butterfly wings.
Former Angel Doutzen Kroes also returned to the show, walking for Victoria’s Secret for the first time in 10 years.
The 39-year-old model had a minor mishap when her heel got stuck in a crack on the runway as she was leaving for Chappell Roan’s Femininomenon show, but she managed to free herself without needing help from fellow runway star Imaan Hammam.
But while many famous faces returned to the runway, Kate Moss, 50, made her debut at the event, as did her daughter Lila, 22.
Kate wore black lingerie, a long sheer lace gown, strappy stilettos and black feather wings as she went to Orianthi’s rendition of I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll, while Lila – whose father is Jefferson Hack – wore pink lingerie and pink sleeves with feathers. Instead of traditional wings, she accessorized it with a custom piece of art that read “Lila M.”
Sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid also made it a family affair, with the former opening the show by rising from the runway in a silky pink bodysuit paired with silver heels and huge hoop earrings, as well as a pair of pink wings.
Bella finished the show in a lace red gown paired with a red and black feather coat and matching heels, having recently ended a two-year hiatus from modeling after taking a break to focus on her mental health and her battle with Lyme disease.
Other models who walked the runway on Tuesday at the event – which included the all-female musical lineup Lisa, Tyla and Cher – included Candice Swanepoel, Ashley Graham, Valentina Sampaio and Paloma Elsesser.
