According to multiple sources, Call of Duty: Warzone could have had a crossover package with Halo. Social media user The Ghost Of Hope, who has leaked unannounced Call of Duty information numerous times in the past, recently discussed it on X.

“It’s kind of crazy how the Halo x COD Master Chief collaboration was actually scrapped for MWIII for completely unknown reasons,” the person said. CharlieIntel, one of the most popular and respected sources of Call of Duty news, supported the report, saying it had heard the same thing.

Ghost of Hope also shared a photo, but it’s unclear if it’s just a mockup. In any case, it’s likely that any Halo x COD crossover set would include popular Halo stuff like the Master Chief himself, as well as popular weapons like the Energy Sword and the iconic Halo assault rifle.

Some theorize that the Modern Warfare III DLC was canceled so it could appear in Black Ops 6 instead, but there’s no evidence for this other than wishful thinking. Black Ops 6 releases on October 25 and does not support Modern Warfare III skins.

Call of Duty and Halo are owned by the same parent company, Microsoft. Previously, Microsoft’s Fallout series moved to Call of Duty. Plus, Master Chief appeared in Fortnite years ago.

In other Halo news, the team working on the franchise is now known as Halo Studios. Many new games are in the works and will be created using Unreal Engine 5. For more information, check out everything we know about the future of the Halo series.
